Kalubhai Humal is the big Organic farmer at Lathi village of Amreli district, Gujarat. He owns 44 ha agricultural land and 5 cows. Kalubhai was the conventional farmer before 2019.
Kalubhai is growing Cotton, Groundnut, Sesame and Pearl Millet in Kharif season, and Wheat (Bansi and Sonamoti), Chickpea and Coriander in Rabi season since many years. He utilizing his 44-ha land in Kharif and 21 ha in Rabi season with Cropping intensity of 147%. He produces approx. 20 MT Cotton, 68 MT Groundnut, 5 MT Sesame and 9 MT Pearl millet in Kharif season from the area of 9.6 ha, 27.2 ha, 2.4 ha and 4.8 ha respectively. Also in Rabi season he produces 49 MT Bansi Wheat, 2.4 MT Sonamoti Wheat, 10 MT Chickpea and 5 MT Coriander.
Once Mr. Rahul kachhad, one of the directors of Akhil Gujarat Vikas Trust, visited his farm and suggest organic farming and explained its importance, then the 2nd day of the visit kalubhai instantly decided to do organic farming instead of conventional farming.
After 1 year of Organic Farming, he observed that he found very tiny difference (5-7%) of quantity produced from his farm, but he noticed that the superior quality of organic quality against chemical (Conventional) Farming.
Kalubhai Admitted that before the organic farming his expenditure of chemical pesticides and fertilizers are about 12 to 13 lakhs, and after the started of organic farming his cost of making herbal sprays, Jivamrit and waste decomposer is about 2 to 3 lakhs.
Kalubhai also doing value addition in groundnut and making groundnut oil, He sold it (Rs. 3500/ 15 lit.) to retail customers. Due to organic production locally, he return relatively more rate of his products, he earned Rs. 16 lakhs more than conventional product. Also, he has been saved Rs. 9 lakh from cost of chemical pesticides and fertilizers. So, we can say that he earned additional Rs. 25 lakh on his 1st year of organic convergence.

Vipulbhai is the small Organic farmer at Krushnagadh village of Amreli district, Gujarat. He owns 2.18 ha agricultural land and 2 cows. Vipulbhai was the conventional farmer before 2015.
Vipulbhai is growing Groundnut, Sesame and Pearl millet in Kharif season, and Wheat (W96), Chickpea and Coriander in Rabi season since many years. He utilizing his 2.18-ha land in Kharif and 1.5 ha in Rabi season with Cropping intensity of 168%. He produces approx. 2.9 MT Groundnut, 0.81 MT Sesame and 0.66 MT Pearl millet in Kharif season from the area of 1.3 ha, 0.5 ha and 0.4 ha respectively. Also in Rabi season he produces 5 MT Bansi Wheat, 0.46 MT Chickpea and 0.4 MT Coriander.

Due to organic production locally, he return relatively more rate of his products, he earned Rs. 20 to 25 thousands more than conventional product. Also, he has been saved Rs. 40000 from cost of chemical pesticides and fertilizers. So, we can say that he is earning additional Rs. 60000 from his 2.18 ha land
